The Clare Coat is a chic cool-weather staple. Featuring raglan sleeves and an unstructured A-line silhouette, Clare is a great introduction to the joys of coat making.

View A hits at mid thigh, with a face-framing collar, princess sleeves, exposed asymmetrical zipper and welt pockets. View B has a more minimalist vibe; double breasted, it ends at the hip hip with inseam pockets, full length sleeves and a dramatic funnel collar.

Please note: we discovered a small error after the pattern went to print. The collar for View A was incorrectly mirrored on the pattern tissue which means the notches are inaccurate, although the pattern piece shape is correct. All pattern booklets include a download link for an updated piece with the correct notches

Medium to heavyweight coating fabrics (ie.melton, felt, tweed and boiled wool). Bottomweight fabrics like denim, twill and canvas are also suitable for a lightweight spring or fall jacket. Also requires lining and fusible weft interfacing.
